Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain welding procedures and specifications to ensure quality and efficiency. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in welding process development, optimization, and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of various welding processes (e.g., SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, SAW, FCAW) and their applications. Familiarity with welding codes and standards (e.g., AWS, ASME, ISO) and their implementation. Experience with welding inspection techniques and non-destructive testing (NDT) methods. Proficiency in welding simulation software and CAD/CAM tools. Bonus Qualifications - Experience with advanced welding processes like electron beam welding or friction stir welding. - Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and their application to welding operations. - Certification in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods relevant to welding. - Experience with robotic welding system programming and optimization. - Knowledge of metallurgy and material science as it pertains to weldability of exotic alloys.
