Buena's Mission Buena makes real estate as simple and transparent as buying an ETF. Whether it's finding, buying, or financing an apartment. We do this by acquiring property managers across Germany and turning them into technology companies. Throughout the past 2 years we have become Germany's third-largest property manager with less than 25 full-time team members at our HQ. The Product Engineer Role We're hiring a Product Engineer to help us rebuild an industry stuck in the early 2000s. Property managers across Germany still run on outdated desktop software with clunky workflows and zero automation. You'll own features end-to-end, from understanding the user problem to shipping the solution. You'll work directly with our property managers, think in systems, and build software that replaces decades-old tools. This is not a ticket-execution role. You'll shape what we build and how we build it. Do not apply if 1. You're looking for a regular job. This is for company builders. 2. You don't want to work from our office in Berlin. 3. You're looking for a large team with established processes. What we're looking for Founder-type talent, matching our intensity and obsessed with solving real problems. Strong product intuition: you can talk to a user, identify the real problem, and translate it into a clean technical solution. Proven experience owning features end-to-end in a fast-moving product team. Solid engineering fundamentals in modern web technologies (TypeScript, React, Node). Clear thinking around system design, user flows and long-term product architecture. What you'll do Own features from discovery to deployment: talk to users, define the solution, ship it. Build scalable product improvements in our core property management platform. Work directly with founders, product and design to shape the roadmap. Identify and fix the biggest pain points in how property managers work today. What you'll get Handpicked highly talented team members. Top-tier compensation, including virtual stock options. Housing allowance of up to €500/month (if residing near HQ). Learning budget of €1.200€/year. Daily breakfast & specialty coffee plus a €110 monthly lunch budget. Your Application Process These steps usually take 7 days, depending on your speed and diligence. 1. Fill out a brief questionnaire to cover the basics. 2. Intro Call to get to know each other. 3. Case Study to demonstrate your technical approach. 4. Present the Case Study on-site to your future manager. 5. Behavioral Interview with Jan, our Co-Founder & COO. 6. Paid work trial to collaborate on a real problem. 7. Final Interview with Din, our Founder & CEO. 8. Offer & Contract.
