Key Responsibilities Perform visual and dimensional inspection of incoming raw materials, components, and finished goods. Verify incoming material documentation, including purchase orders, certifications of conformance, and test reports. Utilize precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM) to ensure adherence to engineering specifications. Accurately record inspection results in quality management systems and identify non-conformances. Initiate and manage the quarantine process for non-conforming materials, escalating issues as required. Collaborate with purchasing and engineering teams to resolve supplier quality discrepancies. Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment according to established schedules and procedures. Recommended Qualifications Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications. Proficiency in using various precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges). Experience with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and inspection procedures. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify visual and dimensional defects. Basic computer literacy for data entry, record keeping, and report generation. Bonus Qualifications Experience with ERP/MRP systems for material receiving and inventory management. Familiarity with IPC standards (e.g., IPC-A-610) for electronic components. Basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Prior experience with basic metrology tool calibration or verification. Certification in a quality methodology (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma Yellow Belt).
