Key Responsibilities Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, components, and products. Verify materials against purchase orders, blueprints, specifications, and quality standards. Accurately document inspection results, including acceptance, rejection, and non-conformances. Identify, segregate, and tag non-conforming materials according to established procedures. Initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and collaborate on root cause analysis. Maintain and calibrate inspection tools and equipment to ensure accuracy. Communicate effectively with suppliers, purchasing, and production regarding material quality issues. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges). Ability to read and accurately interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Familiarity with quality control principles, sampling plans (e.g., AQL), and non-conformance processes. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify visual and dimensional defects. Basic computer literacy for data entry, record keeping, and report generation. Bonus Qualifications Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for quality data entry. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles. Certification in advanced GD&T or CMM operation/programming. Prior experience in a highly regulated industry (e.g., medical devices, aerospace).
