Travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Frederick, Maryland Acute Care Hospital Setting 13-Week Travel Assignment Monday – Friday | Day Shift (6:30/7:00 AM – 3:00/3:30 PM) 30 Hours per Week Pay Package Estimated Weekly Pay: $1800/week Position Overview Trinity Healthcare Talent Services is seeking a Travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a 13-week assignment in Frederick, Maryland . This role is based in a fast-paced acute care hospital where the COTA will treat a diverse patient population including orthopedic, neurological, behavioral health, and critical care cases. The position includes a mix of 1:1 treatments, ADLs, and group therapy sessions . Key Responsibilities Provide occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist Assist patients with ADLs, therapeutic activities, and functional mobility Deliver 1:1 therapy sessions and group treatments Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to supervising OT Educate patients, families, and hospital staff Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems Meet productivity standards and clinical expectations Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams Requirements Graduate of an ACOTE-accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program Active Maryland COTA License (or eligibility) Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital experience required BLS Certification (AHA or Red Cross) Strong communication, time management, and documentation skills Preferred Qualifications Experience leading group therapy sessions Experience in hospital-based EMR systems Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Additional Details Multidisciplinary team environment (~40 clinicians) Productivity expectations: 65–75% (21–24 billable units/day) Focus on patient-centered, high-quality care
