NVH Simulation Engineer – Freelancer

We are looking for an NVH Simulation Engineer Consultant with strong experience in transmission systems, structural dynamics, and simulation-driven development. Responsibilities Perform NVH simulations for transmission systems and related components. Support design and development teams in achieving NVH targets for structural and geartrain parts. Build, update, and maintain simulation models for system and component NVH analysis. Analyse and interpret modal behaviour and transfer paths to assess NVH performance. Correlate simulation results with experimental test data and support validation activities. Contribute to gear geometry definition and evaluate its impact on NVH behaviour. Deliver clear technical documentation and simulation reports at each development milestone. Propose improvements to simulation methodologies, analysis workflows, and engineering practices. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and customer engineering stakeholders. Qualifications: Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical field. At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Romax Spectrum, ideally in the automotive industry. Strong knowledge of FEA methods and tools; experience with Abaqus is a strong advantage. Solid understanding of modal analysis and transfer path analysis. Experience with NVH testing methods and correlation between simulation and test results. Good understanding of gear geometry and its influence on NVH performance. Strong analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a consultancy environment. Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch or Spanish is an asset.
