Interpret blueprints, CAD models, and specifications to create precise components. Operate and maintain a variety of machine tools, including CNC machines, lathes, milling machines, and grinders. Perform precision grinding, fitting, and assembly of tool and die components. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with tooling and manufacturing processes. Inspect and measure finished parts to ensure they meet strict tolerances and quality standards. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize tooling performance and manufacturability. Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and time spent. Recommended Qualifications Proven experience as a Tool and Die Maker or in a similar machining role. Proficiency in operating manual and CNC machining equipment (e.g., lathes, milling machines, grinders). Strong understanding of blueprint reading, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T). Experience with precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, bore gauges). Knowledge of various tool steels and heat treatment processes. Ability to troubleshoot and repair tooling and dies effectively.
