The Opportunity We are collaborating with multiple companies in Coopersville seeking experienced Metrology Technicians. Key Responsibilities Perform calibration and maintenance of precision measuring equipment. Conduct dimensional inspections of manufactured parts using various metrology tools. Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) for part inspection. Analyze measurement data and generate detailed inspection reports. Ensure all measurement activities comply with quality standards and specifications. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to measurement equipment and processes. Maintain accurate calibration records and equipment documentation. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in using a wide range of precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMMs). Strong ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Experience with CMM programming and operation, or other advanced metrology equipment and software. High school diploma or GED with 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality or metrology environment, or an Associate's degree in a technical field. Understanding of calibration processes, measurement uncertainty, and quality control principles.
