Job Title: Buffet Supervisor Position Summary The Buffet Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant and buffet areas onboard. This role ensures high service standards, compliance with sanitation regulations, smooth team coordination, and an excellent guest experience in a high-volume cruise ship environment. Key Responsibilities Operational Supervision Supervise daily buffet and restaurant operations in venues with 400–500+ seats Ensure smooth service flow during all meal periods Monitor cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards Oversee maintenance, hygiene, and sanitation procedures Health & Safety Compliance Ensure strict adherence to USPH and HACCP standards Supervise cleaning schedules and sanitation procedures Conduct regular inspections to maintain compliance and safety standards Team Leadership & Coordination Supervise and coordinate a team of up to 8–10 crew members Prepare staff schedules and manage shifts Provide training, coaching, and continuous performance follow-up Support team development and maintain high morale Guest Service Excellence Ensure outstanding guest interaction and service standards Handle guest complaints professionally and efficiently Maintain a positive, service-oriented environment Professional Standards Demonstrate strong leadership and multicultural team collaboration Maintain a professional attitude at all times Support management in achieving operational targets
