Position Overview The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing complex month-end close activities and supporting financial operations across a multi-entity organization operating within an ERP environment. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting efficient close cycles, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP across both existing and newly integrated business units. The position requires a technically strong accountant who is detail-oriented, proactive in communication, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment. The Senior Accountant collaborates closely with finance leadership while maintaining ownership of assigned accounting responsibilities and deadlines. Core Responsibilities Month-End Close & General Ledger Management Support the monthly financial close process and maintain accurate general ledger records. Responsibilities include: Managing assigned month-end close activities across multiple entities Preparing and posting journal entries within the ERP system Performing bank reconciliations and reviewing integrated banking transactions Recording prepaid amortization and fixed asset depreciation entries Calculating and booking accounts receivable reserves Maintaining general ledger accuracy and supporting GAAP-compliant reporting Multi-Entity Accounting & Integration Support financial operations across multiple legal entities and assist with integration of newly added business units. Responsibilities include: Assisting with the onboarding and integration of newly acquired entities Supporting the setup of balance sheets, bank accounts, and financial structures within the ERP system Ensuring accounting processes remain consistent across entities Adapting to evolving workflows as the organization continues to grow Financial Reporting & Analysis Support financial reporting and help identify potential financial issues. Responsibilities include: Assisting with preparation of internal financial statements Conducting cash flow analysis and supporting financial review processes Preparing reports related to unapplied cash and outstanding balances Identifying and escalating financial anomalies or reporting concerns Systems & Technical Responsibilities Operate within the company’s financial systems and support reporting tools. Responsibilities include: Working within the organization’s ERP system for financial reporting and accounting activities Utilizing advanced Excel functions for analysis and reconciliation Supporting reporting and collaboration within a Microsoft-based environment Learning and operating within additional operational systems as needed Tools & Systems Candidates should be comfortable working within modern financial systems and reporting environments. ERP Systems Experience with ERP platforms required Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central preferred Data & Reporting Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency required Pivot tables Lookup functions (VLOOKUP or equivalent) Data analysis and reconciliation Collaboration & Reporting Microsoft-based collaboration tools Financial reporting dashboards and internal systems Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 4+ years of accounting experience Strong understanding of US GAAP Experience supporting month-end close processes Advanced Excel proficiency Strong attention to detail and analytical skills Ability to work independently while collaborating with finance leadership Preferred Qualifications Experience working with multi-entity accounting environments Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central Experience working in fast-growing or acquisition-driven organizations
