AI Test Environment Engineer

Contracting period: 6 months, with possibility to extend for another 6 Contract type: B2B (PFA / SRL) Location: Remote / Romania Client: Financial Services Industry Experience level: Mid–Senior (5+ years) Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Test Environment Engineer to join our team in support of a leading financial services client. In this role, you will contribute to the test environment workstream , supporting both the current environment landscape and the future test environment strategy within the clients automation program. As part of this initiative, you will also contribute to the development and enhancement of an internal Agentic AI tool , leveraging AI-driven capabilities to improve test environment management. The role involves using AI-powered insights to monitor, identify, and analyze environment-related defect trends, helping improve stability, efficiency, and proactive issue resolution across the testing lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Test Environment Management Support the development and implementation of a test environment strategy aligned with the automation program and AI initiatives Collaborate with architects, developers, and agile squads to ensure test environments meet project requirements Support the setup, configuration, and maintenance of test environments Ensure environments are properly provisioned, maintained, and decommissioned when needed Manage and document environment configurations, dependencies, and integrations Environment Planning & Integration Support planning and scheduling of test environments for project teams Integrate test environments with CI/CD pipelines to support automated testing and continuous delivery Work closely with developers, QA engineers, and operations teams to understand environment requirements Monitoring & Optimization Use AI-driven tools to monitor environment performance and resource usage Analyze environment-related defect trends to identify potential issues early Develop and maintain metrics, dashboards, and reporting to track environment health and usage Ensure optimal environment performance and resource utilization Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of experience managing and supporting test environments 1–2 years of experience using Agentic AI tools or AI-assisted platforms Hands-on experience with cloud platforms Experience with release management tools such as Plutora Understanding of scripting languages and automation tools Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
