Lawyer Senior Manager

Responsibilities: Develops a solid understanding of domestic tax principles through study and practical application. Applies knowledge of local tax laws, case law, and regulations to analyze, research, and complete assigned tasks accurately, in line with role expectations. Prepares and reviews tax analyses, computations, and returns for straightforward scenarios and issues. Utilizes local research tools, software, and technology efficiently to deliver technically accurate and thorough work. Consistently applies tax risk management practices appropriate to role level. Recognizes potential tax planning opportunities within the local environment and escalates them when relevant. Adheres to all firm and regulatory confidentiality and privacy policies. Maintains up-to-date technical expertise by completing mandatory tax training and integrating it into work as applicable. Uses tax knowledge to discuss key issues with clients, local authorities, and team members, including assessing ambiguous or conflicting guidance. Interprets tax sources to execute and document compliance and advisory work. Analyzes authorities and draws conclusions on moderately complex fact patterns and issues. Incorporates changes in tax law, regulatory requirements, and industry considerations into client work, identifying potential impacts. Reviews junior staff work and evaluates issues with managers or partners to ensure analyses and conclusions are accurate and appropriate. Produces clear, well-reasoned, and reader-friendly technical tax analyses Qualifications: Preferably a member of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines and Certified Public Accountant but accounting background is not mandatory Must have at least 6 years of managerial experience and a thorough understanding of tax practice Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, interpersonal, and business development skills Must be from or residing near Cebu City Location: Cebu Work set-up: Hybrid (3x onsite 2 day WFH)
