Legal Advisor

Our client, a well-established Corporate Service Provider in Malta, is looking for an Legal Advisor to join their growing team. In this role, the selected candidate will be providing practical legal and regulatory support, with an emphasis on fintech and digital asset businesses. This is a hybrid role that offers a salary of up to €55K depending on experience. Role & Responsibilities Build and maintain strong relationships with a portfolio of clients and internal departments Act as the main point of contact between clients and regulatory authorities Provide regulatory and compliance advice, supporting clients through licensing and authorisation processes with the MFSA and other authorities, including document preparation and coordination Support regulated entities in meeting their regulatory and compliance obligations, particularly within the fintech sector Plan and manage compliance activities in line with applicable legislation and regulatory frameworks Monitor regulatory developments and advise clients on potential impact and required actions Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal documents and agreements Provide support for corporate structuring and restructuring projects Provide support to colleagues across legal, regulatory, and corporate services teams on compliance and regulatory matters Education, Skills & Experience Master in Advocacy or Doctor of Laws or equivalent with a warrant to practice law in Malta 4+ years of post-qualification experience in a similar role in Malta Excellent communication skills in English at C2/native level, both written and verbal Proven interest and experience in regulated industries, ideally with knowledge of MFSA licensing and regulatory requirements Knowledge of AML/CFT compliance management processes is a plus Able to work both independently and within a team Fluent in Microsoft Office and other standard office tools About the Role Salary of up to €55K depending on experience Hybrid with flexible hours – on Fridays the office closes at 14:00 On-the-job training Health insurance Wellness allowance Free parking Study leave and opportunities for career growth Opportunities to attend industry events Supportive team culture with professional development initiatives Apply with your detailed CV. *JobMatchingPartner Limited is a recruitment agency licenced in Malta, EU with licence no EA00340-2024.
