An Outstanding Ofsted-rated mixed secondary school in Tower Hamlets (ages 11–18) is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Science Teacher (ECT) to join their successful Science Department from September. The Science department is well resourced with modern laboratories and specialist equipment. ECTs are supported through a comprehensive induction programme that includes mentoring from experienced colleagues, regular training sessions and opportunities to observe outstanding teaching practice. The Role As a Science ECT, you will: • Deliver engaging science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. • Support the department’s strong focus on practical investigation and scientific enquiry. • Participate in enrichment opportunities such as science clubs and STEM activities. • Benefit from structured mentoring and support throughout your early teaching career. Requirements • Is completing their PGCE or equivalent qualification and holds QTS. • Has a genuine passion for Science education. • Demonstrates enthusiasm, strong communication skills and a willingness to learn. • Is committed to maintaining high expectations for all students. • Enjoys working collaboratively within a supportive department.
