Finance & Treasury Executive

Our client, a financial institution regulated by the MFSA offering B2B payment solutions based in Birkirkara, Malta is currently looking for a Finance and Treasury Executive to join their team. The selected candidate will be responsible for Finance Operations and Treasury Management. This is an office-based role offering a salary of up to €60K , depending on experience. Role & Responsibilities Manage treasury tasks such as account top-ups and internal transfers Bank reconciliations Manage daily liquidity and flag any issues Support regulatory and financial reporting, including quarterly reports Process invoices and payments Support with month-end closing, prepare reconciliations and supporting documents Assist in the preparation of financial statements and regulatory submissions Build scalable reconciliation models that aren't manual and create finance workflows that can easily grow with the team Use AI and automation tools to increase efficiency and decrease manual work Regularly review and improve finance processes Education, Skills & Experience Bachelor in Accounts, Finance, or a related field 3+ years of experience working in audit or accounting roles in Malta, working with a big 4 firm would be a plus Excellent communication skills in English both written and spoken Working experience in financial services, fintech, banking, insurance, or igaming is a plus Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reconciliations Proficient in MS Excel and/or financial modelling skills Organised, multi-tasking with a keen eye for detail About the Role Salary of up to €60K, based on experience Office-based in Sliema, Malta Health Insurance Professional development opportunities Please note that only candidates who are based in Malta will be considered for this role.
