LPEA Engineer - Leather Wrapping What you’ll do: • Act as the Local Process Equipment Authority (LPEA – Leather Wrapping) , leading steering wheel assembly processes with a strong focus on leather treatment, cutting, and wrapping , ensuring compliance with global manufacturing standards and driving the 1 Product / 1 Process (1P1P) strategy. •Lead end-to-end leather process development, from material selection and leather grading/quality (gild) through preparation, cutting, and final wrapping, supporting new product launches (NPS), quotations, and process validation. •Drive continuous improvement in leather manufacturing processes, including pattern design, process definition, and implementation of best practices to optimize efficiency, reduce scrap, and ensure high-quality finishing in leather-wrapped components. •Collaborate with global teams and industry benchmarks, aligning with leading practices in leather applications, supporting automation, cost analysis (ICAN), and ensuring standardization and scalability of leather processes across sites. What is required: •Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field. •Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing environments, with strong background in final assembly processes, machine design, and process engineering. And proven experience with Leather material. •Technical Skills: Solid knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and advanced English proficiency, with daily interaction and collaboration with global teams across different countries.
