Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors to achieve cost savings. Generate and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of materials. Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality or delivery. Collaborate with production planning to optimize inventory levels and material availability. Identify and implement strategies for supply chain efficiency and risk mitigation. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical purchasing practices. Recommended Qualifications 3-5 years of direct purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for procurement functions. Demonstrated strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills. Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, blueprints, or Bill of Materials (BOMs). Understanding of supply chain principles, inventory management, and logistics. Bonus Qualifications Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification. Experience with advanced data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for spend analysis. APICS CPIM or CSCP certification. International sourcing experience, particularly with suppliers in low-cost regions.
