Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC milling, turning, or grinding machines. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code programs. Monitor machine operations, making adjustments to optimize performance and ensure quality. Inspect finished parts for accuracy and defects using precision measuring instruments. Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and tooling. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machining processes and equipment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in setting up, operating, and troubleshooting CNC mills and lathes. Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Expertise in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, bore gauges). Fundamental understanding of G-code and M-code for basic programming and editing. Demonstrated experience with various materials such as steel, aluminum, and plastics. Bonus Qualifications Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360). Experience with preventative maintenance or minor troubleshooting of CNC machinery. Strong understanding and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Ability to design and fabricate custom fixtures or tooling.
