Key Responsibilities Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machinery (lathes, mills, grinders). Read and interpret blueprints, G-code, and technical specifications. Perform in-process and final quality inspections using precision measuring tools. Troubleshoot andolve machining problems, adjusting offsets and programming as needed. Conduct routine maintenance on machinery and maintain a clean work area. Monitor machine operations, detecting malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining. Select and replace appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job. Recommended Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years of experience operating and setting up CNC mills and/or lathes. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code/M-code. Skilled in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges) for quality inspection. Ability to perform tool changes, offsets, and basic troubleshooting of machine operations. Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and various material properties. Bonus Qualifications Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks, Fusion 360). Experience operating or programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs). Ability to perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
