The Opportunity We are partnering with organizations in Zeeland that are seeking Buyers. Key Responsibilities Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance. Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms with suppliers. Generate and manage purchase orders to ensure timely material procurement. Monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts and minimize excess inventory. Identify and implement cost reduction strategies for purchased goods and services. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure material specifications are met. Resolve supplier issues related to quality, delivery, and invoicing. Recommended Qualifications 2-5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics) for purchasing and inventory management. Demonstrated strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills. Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, blueprints, or bills of material (BOMs). Proven ability to identify and implement cost reduction strategies. Bonus Qualifications Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CPSM, CPIM). Experience utilizing advanced ERP/MRP system functionalities (e.g., SAP, Oracle). Technical understanding of manufacturing processes or specialized components. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or continuous improvement experience. Experience with international sourcing and global logistics.
