Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC machinery (mills, lathes, etc.) according to specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code programs. Monitor machine operations, making adjustments to offsets and tooling as needed. Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure quality and adherence to specifications. Perform routine maintenance on machines and tooling to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine alarms or production issues. Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency. Recommended Qualifications Proven experience operating and setting up CNC mills and/or lathes. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and GD&T. Strong understanding of G-code and M-code, with the ability to make program offsets and edits. Skilled in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, bore gauges). Knowledge of various materials and cutting tools, and their application in machining processes. Bonus Qualifications Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks CAM). Experience operating CMMs or other advanced metrology equipment. Basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting skills. Experience with 5-axis machining or other complex multi-axis operations. Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
