Key Responsibilities Develop, validate, and optimize CMM inspection programs for manufactured parts. Interpret complex engineering drawings, GD&T specifications, and CAD models to create robust measurement strategies. Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and routine production part inspections using CMMs. Troubleshoot and resolve CMM program errors, machine issues, and measurement discrepancies. Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to define inspection requirements and improve part quality. Document inspection results, program revisions, and maintain CMM program libraries. Calibrate and maintain CMM equipment, probes, and associated tooling. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS). Expert-level understanding and application of GD&T principles. Ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints and 3D CAD models. Demonstrated experience in programming, operating, and troubleshooting CMMs. Strong knowledge of metrology best practices and measurement uncertainty.
