CMM Programmer - Fremont Area

The Opportunity We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Fremont region seeking CMM Programmers. Key Responsibilities Develop, validate, and optimize CMM programs from 3D CAD models and 2D engineering drawings. Interpret complex engineering blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and specifications. Execute First Article Inspections (FAI), in-process, and final product inspections using CMM. Analyze measurement data, identify non-conformances, and generate detailed inspection reports. Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality engineers to resolve measurement and quality issues. Maintain and calibrate CMM equipment and probes, ensuring accuracy and reliability. Troubleshoot and debug CMM programs to improve efficiency and measurement repeatability. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS). Strong understanding and practical application of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and 3D CAD models. Experience with various CMM types (e.g., bridge, horizontal arm, optical) and probe systems. Knowledge of metrology principles, measurement techniques, and inspection processes. Bonus Qualifications Advanced proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) for design and analysis. Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and quality data analysis. Experience with scripting or automation for CMM operations or data processing. Proficiency with alternative measurement technologies (e.g., vision systems, laser trackers). ASQ Certification (e.g., CQT, CQE) or other relevant metrology certifications.
