The Opportunity We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Cadillac region seeking CMM Programmers. Key Responsibilities Develop, validate, and optimize CMM inspection programs using various software platforms. Interpret complex engineering drawings, 3D CAD models, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) specifications. Perform First Article Inspections (FAI), in-process checks, and final product validations. Troubleshoot and resolve CMM program issues, measurement discrepancies, and equipment malfunctions. Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality engineering teams for new product introduction (NPI) and continuous improvement. Generate comprehensive inspection reports and maintain accurate documentation of CMM programs and measurement results. Select appropriate CMM probes, fixtures, and measurement strategies for precise part inspection. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso). Strong understanding and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints and specifications. Demonstrated experience in developing, debugging, and optimizing CMM inspection programs. Knowledge of metrology principles and measurement techniques. Proficiency with CAD software for model import and feature creation. Bonus Qualifications Experience with various metrology equipment beyond CMMs (e.g., laser scanners, vision systems). Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam) for design review and fixture conceptualization. Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles and data analysis for process improvement. ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or Certified Quality Technician (CQT) certification.
