Key Responsibilities Develop, validate, and optimize CMM inspection programs using specified software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso). Interpret complex engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T specifications to create accurate measurement routines. Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI), in-process, and final product inspections, analyzing results against specifications. Troubleshoot and debug CMM programs and measurement issues, implementing corrective actions. Maintain CMM equipment, fixtures, and probes, ensuring proper calibration and functionality. Generate detailed inspection reports and analyze measurement data to support quality decisions and process improvement. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to define measurement strategies and resolve non-conformances. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS). Expertise in interpreting engineering blueprints and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Strong understanding of metrology principles and measurement techniques. Proven experience programming and operating CMMs for complex manufactured parts. Ability to troubleshoot measurement issues and optimize inspection routines. Bonus Qualifications Proficiency with 3D scanning or other advanced metrology equipment (e.g., vision systems, laser trackers). Experience in fixture design and fabrication for CMM measurement setups. Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and quality data analysis. Ability to develop custom scripts (e.g., Python, VBA) for data processing or CMM routine optimization.
