Key Responsibilities 1) Project Delivery & Coordination Own assigned projects/work packs from award engineering procurement fabrication FAT installation SAT/commissioning handover. Run internal coordination with design, procurement, production/fabrication, QA/QC, logistics, and site teams. Manage client coordination: shipyard, operator, EPC, OEMs, and class surveyors. 2) Engineering & Integration Review project specifications, P&IDs, layouts, cause & effect and interface requirements. Ensure system design meets relevant standards (as applicable): FSS Code, SOLAS Chapter II-2 Part C reg. 10, class rules (DNV/ABS/BV/RINA etc), NFPA/ISO requirements, yard specs. Resolve integration issues across mechanical/piping, electrical, controls, and instrumentation (e.g., release panels, solenoids, signals to IAS/ESD/F&G). 3) Documentation & Submittals Prepare and manage deliverables: engineering calculations, datasheets, material take-off (MTO/BOM), method statements, test procedures, inspection & test plans (ITP), commissioning plans, as-builts, O&M manuals. Drive document register and ensure timely submissions/approvals with revision control. 4) Procurement & Vendor Management Generate technical requisitions and evaluate vendor offers (compliance, lead time, certification, cost). Coordinate OEM packages (skids, pumps, foam proportioners, cylinders, nozzles, detectors) and ensure certification alignment. 5) Quality, Testing & Compliance Plan and witness FAT and interface tests; lead punch list closure. Support/lead sea trials and commissioning activities when required. Ensure compliance with QA/QC requirements, traceability, and calibration/cert records. 6) Site Execution & Safety Coordinate onboard/offshore installation works, PTW requirements, and site constraints. Promote safe work practices and ensure site documentation is ready (RA/MS/permits where required). 7) Cost, Schedule & Reporting Track progress against schedule; highlight risks, changes, and mitigation plans early. Support variation/change control: scope clarification, impact assessment, and documentation. Provide weekly progress updates (engineering/procurement/fabrication/site status). Success Metrics (KPIs) On-time delivery of engineering deliverables and approvals FAT/SAT/commissioning pass rate, minimal rework Schedule adherence and controlled costs/variations Zero major non-conformities; strong class/client acceptance Clean handover: complete as-built + O&M + certificates Qualifications: Diploma / Degree in Mechanical, Marine, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related Engineering. 2–5+ years in marine/offshore projects (more senior candidates considered). Experience with at least one core fire system (foam/deluge/water mist/gaseous) and strong interest to broaden. Skills & Knowledge Understanding of marine/offshore project workflows and interface management. Familiar with common standards and approval processes (IMO/class/yard specs). Able to read/mark-up: P&IDs, GA/layouts, single line diagrams, I/O lists, cause & effect. Strong documentation discipline (revision control, transmittals, MDR/SDR). Software/Tools (preferred) MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint), MS Project (or similar) AutoCAD / Draft review tools (basic) Document control platforms (any) Advantages: FAT/SAT witnessing experience with class surveyor attendance Hydraulic flow calculations experiences Knowledge of hazardous area considerations (Ex) and marine documentation packages
