Key Responsibilities Develop and validate CMM programs from 3D CAD models and 2D blueprints. Perform first article, in-process, and final inspection of manufactured components using CMM. Analyze inspection data, identify non-conformances, and generate detailed reports. Troubleshoot CMM equipment, programs, and measurement issues. Calibrate CMM probes and ensure machine accuracy and repeatability. Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to interpret specifications and resolve measurement challenges. Maintain and update CMM program libraries and documentation. Recommended Qualifications Proficient in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS). Strong understanding and application of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and 3D CAD models. Experience with various measurement techniques and metrology principles. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot CMM programs and measurement issues. Bonus Qualifications Experience with multiple CMM software platforms (e.g., PC-DMIS, PolyWorks, Calypso). Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, NX) for model manipulation and fixture design. Understanding of advanced metrology principles, including measurement uncertainty and Gage R&R studies. Experience integrating CMM data with SPC software or quality management systems.
