Key Responsibilities Source and evaluate suppliers for raw materials, components, and MRO items. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors to achieve cost savings. Generate and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of materials. Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with planning to optimize stock and prevent shortages. Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers. Ensure all purchased materials and services meet quality standards and specifications. Identify and implement strategies for continuous cost reduction and supply chain efficiency. Recommended Qualifications Strong understanding of procurement processes and supply chain management principles. Proven negotiation skills with a track record of achieving cost savings and favorable terms. Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for purchasing, inventory, and order management. Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, blueprints, and engineering drawings. Experience in vendor relationship management, including supplier selection and performance monitoring.
