Key Responsibilities Source and procure raw materials, components, and MRO items required for manufacturing operations. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve favorable agreements. Manage supplier relationships, evaluating performance based on cost, quality, and delivery. Monitor inventory levels to ensure continuity of supply while minimizing excess and obsolescence. Collaborate with production and planning teams to forecast material needs and optimize purchasing schedules. Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements within the supply chain. Resolve issues related to supplier quality, delivery discrepancies, and invoicing. Recommended Qualifications Direct purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems for procurement processes. Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills. Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, blueprints, or Bills of Material (BOMs). Knowledge of supply chain principles, inventory management, and logistics. Bonus Qualifications Certification in supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP). Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies. Proficiency with advanced ERP/MRP modules specific to procurement or inventory management. Demonstrated experience in international sourcing and logistics.
