Conduct detailed variance analysis between actual and standard costs, investigating discrepancies. Manage inventory valuation, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods. Prepare comprehensive cost reports and analyses for management decision-making. Identify and recommend cost reduction opportunities and efficiency improvements. Participate in the annual budgeting and forecasting processes related to production costs. Reconcile inventory accounts and ensure accuracy of cost of goods sold. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3-5 years of progressive experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, GAAP, and inventory valuation methods. Demonstrated ability to analyze cost data, identify variances, and provide actionable insights. Bonus Qualifications Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies. Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). Familiarity with SQL or advanced database querying. Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM). Advanced proficiency with specific manufacturing ERP modules (e.g., SAP CO-PC, Oracle Cost Management).
