Key Responsibilities Develop and refine product designs from concept through to manufacturing, utilizing CAD software. Create detailed 2D and 3D engineering drawings, specifications, and Bills of Material (BOMs). Ensure designs meet functional requirements, manufacturing capabilities, cost targets, and quality standards (DFM/DFA). Participate in prototype development, testing, and validation to verify design performance. Analyze and resolve design-related issues, implementing corrective actions and continuous improvements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, production, and quality to integrate designs seamlessly. Select appropriate materials and components based on performance, cost, and manufacturability criteria. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field. Proven proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA) and FEA tools. Minimum of 3 years of experience in product design within a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, stamping) and material science. Demonstrated application of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
