Perform preventative maintenance and repair on existing production tooling. Operate conventional and CNC machine tools (e.g., lathes, mills, grinders, EDMs) to tight tolerances. Interpret complex engineering blueprints, schematics, and CAD models. Diagnose and troubleshoot tooling malfunctions, implementing effective corrective actions. Utilize precision measuring instruments to verify tool dimensions and quality. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize tool design and manufacturing processes. Recommended Qualifications Proven experience in tool and die making, precision machining, or a related manufacturing role. Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex blueprints, sche schematics, and technical drawings. Expertise in operating and setting up a range of machine shop equipment, including manual and CNC mills, lathes, and grinders. Strong understanding and practical application of metrology, utilizing precision measuring instruments. Solid knowledge of various metal properties, tooling materials, and heat treatment processes.
