The Opportunity We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Jenison region seeking Robotics Technicians. Key Responsibilities Perform routine preventative maintenance on robotic systems and associated equipment. Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, and software issues in robotic cells. Program, teach, and optimize robot paths and logic for various manufacturing processes. Install, calibrate, and commission new robotic arms, end-effectors, and peripheral devices. Conduct repairs and replace faulty components to restore robot functionality. Assist in the development and implementation of robotic process improvements and upgrades. Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance, repairs, and programming changes. Recommended Qualifications Associate's degree or technical certificate in Robotics, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field. Proficiency in programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining industrial robots (e.g., FANUC, KUKA, ABB, Yaskawa). Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, including PLCs, sensors, and motor controls. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals. Experience with preventative maintenance programs and root cause analysis in a manufacturing environment. Understanding of industrial safety protocols and lockout/tagout procedures. Bonus Qualifications Experience with industrial vision systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence). PLC programming experience (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley). Familiarity with data acquisition, analysis, and IoT principles for manufacturing. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies. Proficiency in basic CAD software for reviewing layouts or tooling.
