Quality Technician - Whitehall Area

The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across Whitehall seeking Quality Technicians who want more than a lateral move. Key Responsibilities Perform detailed inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products against specifications. Utilize various precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM) to verify product dimensions and attributes. Document inspection results accurately, including identifying and reporting non-conformances and potential defects. Initiate and support the containment of non-conforming materials, ensuring proper segregation and identification. Assist in the investigation of quality issues, root cause analysis, and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions. Maintain and manage quality records, inspection logs, and calibration documentation in accordance with quality system requirements. Collaborate with production personnel to resolve quality-related issues and ensure adherence to quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM). Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, technical specifications, and GD&T. Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and quality control processes. Experience with root cause analysis, corrective actions (CAPA), and problem-solving techniques. Basic understanding of statistical process control (SPC) and data collection/analysis. Bonus Qualifications Experience with statistical process control (SPC) software (e.g., Minitab). Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies (e.g., Yellow Belt certification). Ability to program or operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) or other automated inspection equipment. Internal audit experience or training.
