The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across Mason seeking CNC Machinists who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC machinery (mills, lathes, grinders). Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and G-code. Load and unload raw materials, tools, and finished parts. Monitor machine operations, detect malfunctions, and make necessary adjustments. Perform in-process and final quality inspections using precision measuring tools. Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC machines and work area. Troubleshoot and resolve common operational issues or quality deviations. Recommended Qualifications 2-5 years of hands-on experience operating multi-axis CNC mills and/or lathes. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code/M-code programming. Skilled in setting up tooling, fixtures, and work offsets, and performing tool changes. Adept at using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges for quality inspection. Strong troubleshooting abilities for machine and program issues, with a focus on continuous improvement. Bonus Qualifications Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam) for program generation or modification. Experience operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) or other advanced metrology equipment. Demonstrated ability to perform minor machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventative care. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
