Key Responsibilities Develop and implement strategies for material planning, procurement, and inventory control. Manage and optimize inventory levels to minimize carrying costs while ensuring material availability for production. Oversee warehouse operations, material handling, and logistics to ensure efficient flow and accuracy. Collaborate with production, sales, and engineering teams to forecast demand and synchronize material requirements. Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives related to materials, logistics, and supply chain processes. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery, quality, and competitive pricing. Lead, mentor, and develop the materials team (planners, buyers, warehouse personnel). Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of progressive experience in materials management, inventory control, or supply chain leadership within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for inventory, planning, and procurement functions. Demonstrated expertise in inventory management, demand planning, and production scheduling methodologies (e.g., MRP, JIT, Lean principles). Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills with a proven ability to manage and develop teams.
