Key Responsibilities Oversee full-cycle recruitment for production, technical, and leadership roles within the manufacturing facility. Manage employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary processes, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws, safety regulations (e.g., OSHA), and company policies specific to a manufacturing setting. Implement and manage performance appraisal systems, development plans, and succession planning for all plant personnel. Identify training needs and develop programs for skills development, safety, and leadership for manufacturing teams. Administer competitive compensation and benefits programs, including wage reviews for hourly and salaried employees. Partner with plant leadership to align HR strategies with operational goals and support continuous improvement initiatives. Recommended Qualifications Proven experience in HR management within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong knowledge of labor relations, employment law, and compliance specific to manufacturing operations. Demonstrated ability to manage talent acquisition, development, and retention for a production workforce. Experience partnering with plant leadership on strategic HR initiatives and operational goals. Proficiency in HRIS and ensuring compliance with safety regulations (e.g., OSHA) relevant to manufacturing. Bonus Qualifications Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies. Proficiency in a second language, particularly Spanish, to support a diverse workforce. Experience with HR technology solutions tailored for manufacturing environments, such as advanced time & attendance or complex shift scheduling systems. Demonstrated success in developing and implementing initiatives to enhance workplace safety culture.
