Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle recruitment and staffing for production, technical, and administrative roles. Oversee employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures in a factory setting. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws, particularly those relevant to manufacturing safety (e.g., OSHA). Administer compensation, benefits, and payroll processes, including shift differentials and overtime for hourly employees. Facilitate training and development programs, focusing on safety, compliance, and skills enhancement for production personnel. Lead performance management processes, providing coaching and support to managers and employees on the production floor. Develop and implement HR policies and procedures tailored to the manufacturing environment. Recommended Qualifications Proven experience as an HR Manager, with significant time in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong understanding of labor relations, including collective bargaining and unionized workforces. Expertise in talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies for both skilled trades and production roles. In-depth knowledge of HR compliance, safety regulations (e.g., OSHA), and employment law pertinent to manufacturing. Demonstrated ability to manage complex employee relations issues and drive conflict resolution in a fast-paced setting. Bonus Qualifications Experience with union relations, collective bargaining, and contract administration. Demonstrated experience supporting Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma initiatives from an HR perspective. Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish) to support a diverse manufacturing workforce. Certifications or extensive experience in manufacturing safety programs and OSHA compliance. Experience managing HR for multi-site manufacturing operations.
