Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and develop a team of manufacturing engineers and technicians. Oversee the planning and execution of engineering projects for production lines and new product introduction. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes, efficiency, and cost reduction. Collaborate with production, quality, and R&D teams to resolve technical issues and enhance operational performance. Ensure the successful design, development, and implementation of manufacturing equipment and tooling. Manage departmental budget, resources, and allocate engineering support for critical production needs. Establish and enforce engineering standards, best practices, and safety protocols within the manufacturing environment. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) with 8+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Proven experience leading and developing engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and execution of manufacturing process improvement or new product introduction projects. Expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies for process optimization. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex manufacturing challenges and implement effective, data-driven solutions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration with production, quality, and supply chain teams. Bonus Qualifications Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification. Experience implementing Industry 4.0 technologies (e.g., IoT, AI, advanced automation) in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency with enterprise resource planning (ERP) or manufacturing execution systems (MES) like SAP, Oracle, or Plex. Demonstrated experience with P&L responsibility or significant budget management for manufacturing operations.
