Key Responsibilities Develop, write, and debug CMM inspection programs using CAD models and engineering drawings. Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) specifications. Execute First Article Inspection (FAI), in-process, and final inspection using CMM programs. Analyze measurement data, identify non-conformances, and generate detailed inspection reports. Select, set up, and verify appropriate CMM probes, fixtures, and part clamping methods. Perform routine maintenance, calibration checks, and basic troubleshooting of CMM equipment. Collaborate with quality, engineering, and manufacturing teams to resolve measurement issues and improve processes. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS). Strong understanding and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and technical specifications. Experience with CAD software for model import and feature extraction. Knowledge of metrology principles and measurement techniques. Bonus Qualifications Experience with multiple CMM software platforms. Proficiency in CAD modeling or CAD/CAM integration. Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis. Experience with other metrology equipment (e.g., vision systems, laser scanners).
