The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across Jenison seeking HR Generalists who want more than a lateral move. Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for production, skilled trades, and administrative roles. Provide guidance and support on employee relations issues, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and conflict resolution on the shop floor. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, company policies, and safety regulations specific to manufacturing environments. Administer compensation and benefits programs, including payroll inputs, leave management, and benefits enrollment for all employees. Support performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development plans for manufacturing teams. Coordinate and facilitate training programs, with a focus on safety, compliance, and skill development for production personnel. Maintain accurate HR records and data within the HRIS, generating reports and analytics as required. Recommended Qualifications 3-5 years of progressive HR Generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment. In-depth knowledge of federal and state employment laws (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO) and HR best practices. Demonstrated experience in employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management. Proficiency with HRIS and talent acquisition strategies, including recruitment for production roles. Strong understanding of workplace safety regulations (e.g., OSHA) and their HR implications. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field; HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP/SCP) highly desirable.
