Key Responsibilities Develop and optimize product designs using CAD software. Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and Bills of Material (BOMs). Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are optimized for production efficiency. Participate in prototyping, testing, and validation of new and revised designs. Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes for design projects. Resolve design-related issues encountered during manufacturing and assembly. Conduct design analysis (e.g., FEA) to ensure product performance and reliability. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA). Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, welding, sheet metal fabrication). Knowledge of GD&T principles and their application. Experience with Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFM/DFA). Bonus Qualifications Hands-on experience with prototyping, assembly, or testing of mechanical components. Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies. Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies such as additive manufacturing or automation. Proficiency in advanced simulation software (e.g., CFD, complex FEA, MBD) beyond basic structural analysis.
