Controller Kirkland, WA $120,000 – $125,000 Base + Bonus Seattle Search Group is partnering with a well-established, multi-entity organization seeking a Controller to oversee the finance function for one of its regional business units. This is the top finance role within the division and serves as a strategic partner to operational leadership. The position is responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and overall financial discipline while maintaining alignment with corporate standards. Position Overview The Division Controller will lead all accounting and finance activities for the division, ensuring accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and reliable financial projections. This individual will partner closely with leadership to support decision-making, improve business processes, and maintain fiduciary oversight. This role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on execution. Key Responsibilities Lead month-end close and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting Maintain GAAP-compliant financial statements and reporting processes Oversee budgeting and forecasting for the division Ensure reliability of financial projections and performance metrics Manage division-level banking and cash oversight Partner with operational leadership on financial planning and pricing decisions Maintain and enforce internal controls and corporate policies Serve as liaison between division leadership and corporate finance Lead and develop accounting staff Qualifications Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 6–8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience Prior leadership experience managing accounting staff Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting Experience supporting operational business units ERP system experience required (JD Edwards experience a plus) Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment Compensation & Benefits $120,000 – $125,000 base salary Bonus potential Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and additional company-sponsored programs This is an excellent opportunity for a finance leader who enjoys partnering with operations while maintaining strong financial discipline and accountability within a structured, growth-oriented organization.
