The Role The school is seeking a highly organised and strategic School Business Manager (SBM) to oversee the operational and financial management of the school. This role is central to the smooth running of the school and involves responsibility for financial planning, operational management and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with the Headteacher and senior leadership team to support strategic decision-making and long-term planning. Responsibilities • Lead the school’s financial planning, budgeting and resource management • Provide strategic financial advice to senior leaders and governors • Oversee procurement and contract management processes • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and audit requirements • Manage administrative, site and support staff teams • Develop operational systems that support efficient school management • Monitor budgets and ensure effective allocation of resources • Oversee facilities management and health and safety compliance • Support strategic planning and school development priorities • Produce financial and operational reports for leadership and governors School Environment The school places a strong emphasis on teamwork and collaboration across all departments.
