Web QA Tester

JOB DETAILS Job Title : Web Quality Assurance (QA) Tester Location : Remote Reports To : Product / Engineering Team Work Shift : Flexible with UK time zone overlap preferred Working Hours : Part-time Job Description We are seeking a Web Quality Assurance (QA) Tester to support manual testing of a website and key user flows. The primary objective of this role is to proactively identify bugs, broken behaviors, and unexpected outcomes by manually testing the platform and attempting to break functionality across different scenarios. The QA Tester will focus on testing the full user experience, including sign-up flows, landing pages, and newly deployed features. The role requires running through defined testing scenarios while also exploring edge cases that may reveal issues not captured in scripted tests. This role is designed to support fast product iteration. As the product team continues to deploy new landing pages, offers, and platform updates, the QA Tester will ensure that changes function as expected and that issues are surfaced early with clear reproduction steps. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, curious, and proactive in identifying problems across different user flows. Success in this role requires the ability to think like a user, test unusual scenarios, and communicate issues clearly so engineers can quickly diagnose and resolve them. Key Responsibilities Manual Website Testing Manually test website functionality and user flows to identify bugs, broken behavior, and inconsistencies Test sign-up flows and core user journeys across the platform Run testing on landing pages and newly deployed product updates Attempt to break flows by testing unusual user paths and edge cases Scenario-Based Testing Execute predefined testing scenarios provided by the product team Validate whether platform behavior matches the expected outcomes Identify cases where behavior differs from documented expectations Surface inconsistencies or unclear behavior discovered during testing Bug Identification & Documentation Report bugs clearly with steps required to reproduce the issue Document where issues occur and what behavior was observed Provide clear descriptions to help the engineering team diagnose problems quickly Capture relevant details that help replicate issues during debugging Exploratory Testing Go beyond predefined testing scenarios to explore the platform independently Test unusual or unexpected user journeys that may reveal hidden issues Proactively attempt to break functionality and uncover edge cases Identify areas of the platform that may require additional testing coverage Collaboration with Product & Engineering Work closely with product and engineering teams to clarify expected behavior Participate in onboarding sessions to review testing flows and scenarios Communicate findings clearly so issues can be validated and resolved quickly Qualifications Required Experience performing manual testing on websites or web applications Strong attention to detail when identifying bugs or unexpected behaviors Ability to test unusual scenarios that may break functionality Clear written communication when documenting bugs and reproduction steps Comfortable working with product and engineering teams Nice to Have Experience testing user flows such as sign-up journeys or checkout processes Experience working with predefined testing scenarios Ability to think critically about how users may interact with a website Experience performing exploratory testing to identify edge cases
