General Manager / Retail Operations Director luxury duty-free

Job Description (English) Position Overview We are seeking a General Manager / Retail Operations Director with strong experience leading high-volume retail operations within luxury, duty-free, or international commercial environments . The selected candidate will be responsible for driving commercial strategy, overseeing multi-store operations, optimizing customer experience, and ensuring strong financial performance , maintaining the operational excellence expected in premium retail environments with high tourist traffic. This role requires a professional with strategic vision, operational leadership, and experience managing international retail environments , ideally within luxury goods, electronics, jewelry, cosmetics, perfumes, or duty-free sectors . Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership Oversee the daily operations of retail stores or commercial units. Ensure operational excellence, inventory control, and compliance with international service standards . Implement processes that improve sales performance, operational efficiency, and profitability . Commercial Strategy Develop and execute strategies to increase revenue and maximize margins . Analyze tourism consumption trends and international customer behavior. Coordinate promotions, marketing initiatives, and commercial positioning strategies. Team Management Lead, coach, and develop store managers, supervisors, and sales teams . Establish clear performance KPIs and a strong sales culture . Implement training programs focused on customer experience and consultative selling . Financial Management Manage P&L, budgets, and operational cost control . Analyze financial and commercial KPIs to support strategic decisions. Ensure achievement of revenue and profitability targets. Customer Experience Maintain a premium shopping experience aligned with international luxury retail standards . Monitor brand reputation and customer satisfaction metrics. Identify opportunities to improve the overall customer journey . Ideal Candidate Profile 8–12+ years of experience in retail, distribution, or international commerce. Previous experience in General Manager, Retail Director, or Operations Director roles . Proven ability managing high-volume retail environments . Strong knowledge of inventory management, supply chain, and margin control . Experience leading multicultural commercial teams . Strong P&L management experience . Fluent English required . Experience in tourism-driven markets or international retail hubs is highly valued .
