REGISTERED NURSE - PEDIATRIC CARDIAC INTENSIVE CARE UNIT

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES- Registered Nurse - Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit RN - PEDS CICU Full-Time Registered Nurse candidates for the Pediatric CICU will have the following job responsibilities: You will perform direct patient care within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act, with emphasis on the critically ill patient with Congenital Heart Disease and/or Surgery You will organize, implement, modify, evaluate, document and maintain the plan of care. This plan will be individualized, family centered and holistic You will maintain a safe and therapeutic environment You will participate in CHSU initiatives and process improvement You will incorporate teaching into all aspects of nursing practice JOB QUALIFICATIONS- Registered Nurse - Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit RN - PEDS CICU Full-Time Registered Nurse candidates for the Pediatric CICU must meet the following minimum job qualifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date (RN) Registered Nurse Associate Degree; BSN required w/6 month enrollment and 24 month completion (Magnet Hospital) Must have 1 year recent Pediatric ICU RN experience in an acute care hospital CCRN Preferred
