Restaurant Manager -- Hospitality Operations

We are currently recruiting candidates located in Chile. Location: Seward, Alaska, USA Visa: H-1B (attorney fees covered by employer) About the Opportunity We are seeking an energetic and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead daily food and beverage operations in Seward, Alaska. This role is ideal for an early-career hospitality professional looking to take ownership of a fast-paced restaurant environment while living in one of Alaska's most beautiful and adventurous destinations. You'll oversee a full team, maintain high service standards, and play a key role in delivering memorable dining experiences to guests from around the world. What You'll Do Oversee daily restaurant operations and service standards Supervise and train front-of-house and kitchen staff Manage inventory, purchasing, and cost controls Ensure compliance with health, safety, and labor regulations Analyze operational and financial performance data Implement service and operational improvements What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Culinary Management, or a related field Strong leadership and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple operational priorities in a demanding seasonal environment Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and comfort with long hours during peak season Enthusiasm for outdoor life and working in a close-knit community Compensation & Benefits Annual salary: Starting at $40,000 USD Housing: Fully furnished employee housing available at $500/month (deducted from paycheck). Accommodations are apartment-style shared rooms (4 employees per room with bunk beds). Private room arrangements may be possible upon request. Dining: 50% discount at all group restaurants Visa: H-1B visa — employer covers all attorney fees for the petition and application process. Visa interview fee and travel expenses are the responsibility of the employee. Return opportunities: Strong performers are welcome to return and renew their visa for future seasons Working Hours & Season Peak season runs May through September with approximately 60–70 hours per week ; one fixed day off per week December through March is considered unpaid vacation time, during which employees may return home Interviews are conducted via Zoom Important Notes This role requires physical presence in Seward, Alaska during the season Travel to Alaska is required and is not covered by the employer Health insurance is not provided We are looking for candidates with a genuine passion for hospitality, leadership, and life in a small seasonal community surrounded by nature
