Tax Manager – Remote (CPA Required) Location: United States (Remote) Job Type: Full-Time About the Role We are hiring an experienced Tax Manager to join our growing, fully remote professional services team. This role focuses on proactive tax planning, advisory services, and compliance for small business owners and high-net-worth individuals. Our firm specializes in forward-looking tax strategy and long-term financial optimization, going beyond traditional compliance-focused services. Responsibilities Lead and manage tax planning and advisory engagements Prepare and review complex individual and business tax returns Serve as a primary advisor to clients on tax strategies and compliance Conduct kickoff meetings, quarterly reviews, and planning sessions Identify tax risks, opportunities, and planning solutions Review tax-related entries in accounting systems Research tax law changes and planning strategies Develop internal training materials and best practices Mentor and support junior tax staff Manage multiple engagements and deadlines Qualifications Active CPA license required 3+ years of public accounting tax experience 1+ year of team leadership or management experience Strong knowledge of individual and business taxation Excellent communication and client management skills Advanced Excel skills Ability to work independently in a remote environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Preferred Experience Experience with the following tools is a plus: UltraTax CS Workpapers CS Planner CS QuickBooks Online TaxDome Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary and performance bonuses Fully remote work environment Generous paid time off 401(k) with company match Comprehensive health benefits Paid parental leave Professional development opportunities Equal Opportunity Employer We are an equal opportunity employer.
