Vehicle Software Update & Diagnostics Engineer

We are looking for a Vehicle Software Update & Diagnostics Engineer to join the Co-Development (CoDev) Update team. The CoDev initiative enables employees to use company vehicles as test vehicles, helping improve customer experience by collecting real-world vehicle data, testing new software, and providing feedback. The CoDev Update team ensures that vehicles are updated, configured, and prepared for testing and data collection. This role focuses on vehicle software updates, including Over-The-Air (OTA) updates and workshop diagnostic tools. Key Responsibilities Perform and manage software updates in test vehicles Support Over-The-Air (OTA) software update activities Prepare vehicles for testing and data collection Execute software downloads and vehicle diagnostics Support testing of new propulsion and connected services software Perform fault tracing and troubleshooting Collaborate with: Workshops Quality teams Aftermarket departments Engineering teams Manage multiple test activities simultaneously Ensure vehicles are ready for development testing and validation Required Skills & Competencies Technical Skills Experience with vehicle diagnostic tools and software download systems Knowledge of the following tools or systems: PIE PGW OTAmatic OTA diagnostics VIDA DSA Understanding of vehicle software architecture Understanding of vehicle electrical and software topology Experience with vehicle fault tracing and diagnostics Analytical Skills Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities Ability to manage multiple tasks in parallel Communication & Collaboration Strong communication skills Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment Qualifications Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field Hands-on experience with vehicle diagnostics, software updates, or vehicle testing Additional Requirements Valid B Driver’s License Great communication skills in English and Swedish (both verbal and written)
